Who operates yapFM

yapFM is an independent internet radio project. It is a PromptFluid product published by Kenneth E. Sweet Jr. ("we", "us"). The site is operated at https://yapfm.com.

What we collect

Call-in audio. When you tap "Call In" and grant microphone permission, we capture the audio of your call so it can be aired live and stored in the public archive.
Voluntary submissions. Song requests, polls, and on-air messages you choose to send.
Account data (optional). If you sign in, we store the email address and identifiers required to authenticate you.
Operational data. Standard server logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) and minimal usage signals required to keep the stream running and prevent abuse.
Cookies / local storage. Small amounts of local storage to remember your volume, last session, and similar UX preferences. We do not currently run third-party advertising trackers.

How we use it

To broadcast your call live and add it to the public archive.
To operate, secure, and improve the station.
To respond to inquiries and moderate abusive content.

What we don't do

We do not sell personal information. We do not share your email with third parties for marketing. We do not knowingly profile minors.

Public archive

Calls are inherently public. By calling in, you understand that your voice, the words you say, and any caller name you provide may be aired live and stored indefinitely in the public archive at /archive. If you want a specific call removed, contact us; we honor reasonable removal requests for the original caller.

Third-party services

yapFM relies on hosting, database, authentication, and AI inference providers to operate. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy terms. We do not embed third-party advertising networks.

Retention

Archive segments are retained indefinitely as part of the public record of the station. Account and log data are retained only as long as needed for operations, security, and legal compliance.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards but cannot guarantee perfect security. Do not share confidential, sensitive, or personally identifying information of third parties on air.

Children

yapFM is not directed to children under 13. Do not call in or sign up if you are under 13.

You can mute, hang up, decline microphone access, or sign out at any time. For deletion or access requests, contact us through the channels on the home page.
